My wife sent me a TikTok video last night1Yes, that’s where we are in life right now. about a concept I had not heard before. The idea is not new by any stretch but I found it immediately applicable. In a nutshell…
- Touch each task only once.
- Do it properly and thoroughly when you do.
That could mean when you take off your jacket after you get home, you put it away in the closet instead of leaving it on the couch. Or it could mean only responding to an email when you have the time to fully handle it.
In other words, avoid multiple touches, half-finished tasks, and inefficiency.
