I used to be a little self-conscious about making (what I might downplay as) an insignificant change to this website. Or to a work project. Or even to the way I organize my clothes in a drawer. I always told myself I was the only one who would notice.

Then I realized that with each tweak I was actually giving myself an opportunity to apply a new technique to a system I’d already constructed. Even a margin update 1Or a box shadow update… as some might notice happened last week. would let me refactor the code and move toward a new way of thinking.

This entirely changed my perspective.
