Google Alerts Get Support for Feeds

This has beeen a huge help in watchin certain keywords on affiliate marketing campaigns.  Although there are subscription-based, “reputation management” services such as Trackur that offer more flexibility and power, Google Alerts is fine for my needs and just got a little better.

If you’ve been feeding your ego with vanity searches and Google alerts, you may be happy to know that the once email-only digest of Google alerts is now available in RSS feed format, too. Delicious.

Create an Email Newsletter From Your RSS Feed With MailChimp

Email newsletters are one of the most lucrative forms of marketing you can use in your business and yet many people continue to overlook it.  I’ve used MailChimp in the past for email marketing and I was very pleased with the return.

Email newsletter builders might not be the most exciting of web apps, but they are a proven way to retain visitors to your website. However, consistently coming up with content for them isn’t always easy, which is why a new tool from MailChimp makes a lot of sense. The service will generate a newsletter from your blog’s RSS feed, and then take care of all of the dirty work like sending, tracking, and managing your mailing list.

Blogging Workflow

I’m drastically changing my blogging workflow to stimulate some sort of consistent posting schedule.  Right now I’m using ScribeFire within Firefox to write this post, which is already simplifying my process.  Then, I’ll be using Google Reader to post directly using the web clippings function.  Essentially I’ll be using this blog to save my comments on news, technology, and other things I find while living in my RSS aggregator.
